With national mortgage rates hovering near 7%, home shoppers just got a brief window of potential relief.

Chase Home Lending has officially relaunched its promotional rate sale for a three-week run.

Key Event Details

  • Promotion Window: Monday, Sept. 14 through Sunday, Oct. 4.
  • Eligible Customers: Open to both new borrowers and existing Chase clients.
  • Eligible Products: All new home purchase and refinance loans, including FHA options.

How Much You Can Save

Qualified applicants can secure an interest rate discount of up to 0.25% off their loan rate.

On a $400,000, 30-year fixed-rate mortgage, lowering the rate from 6.75% to 6.50% trims monthly payments by over $65.

Over the lifetime of a 30-year fixed loan, that modest fractional reduction saves more than $23,800 in total interest costs.

Terms and Eligibility

  • Lock Deadline: Borrowers must officially lock in their rate before Oct. 4 to qualify.
  • No Added Fees: The discount requires no upfront mortgage points or additional originations fees.
  • ARM Conditions: For adjustable-rate mortgages, the reduced rate applies strictly during the initial fixed-rate period.
  • Standard Qualification: Standard credit score, debt-to-income, and loan-to-value guidelines apply based on the specific loan program.

Fall Housing Market Outlook

Housing activity naturally cools down following the peak summer homebuying season.

Industry experts recommend focusing on core fundamentals—like tightening credit profiles and lowering existing debt—rather than trying to time unpredictable rate movements.
